EMC's Cloud Infrastructure Services ( CIS ) E20-002 Certification Exam Learning aids

A few months back, i wrote about the availability of Cloud Infrastructure Services certification thru EMC Academic Alliance. Today, i would like to share insights on a few learning aids available for students, when preparing for the exam. 
Lets start by answering the question, Why should i enroll for Cloud Infrastructure and Services (EMCCIS) Exam ?. 
A quick note for students : Some of the product details shared may have converged to drive the Software-defined vision, but the foundation to all technologies continue to remain the same. Hence, the videos shared are only to prepare you for the CIS exam and shall only compliment the theory learnt,

    VTU Students : Opt for Storage Area Network (10CS765/10IS765/10MCA555 ) in the next semester

    India produces the highest ## of engineers today and quality remains a question mark for all. A good example from my experience is - 

    Question : Where does a Facebook/Google store its data                             
    Answer : "Hard Disc"                                                                                                      
    Question : "And where do you think the hard disc is."                              
    Answer : "Server"


     Hmmmm....is't that crazy. 

     Realizing this, we took our Industry recognized open course ( on Storage Networking ) thru EMC Academic Alliance to university curriculum boards. Some of the pro-active ones have adopted it into the core curriculum, where as some have the same as an elective.  

    One such early adopters has been Visvesvaraya Technological University ( who added it as an elective ), with over 150 colleges from the state of Karnataka. 
    || I still could not convince them to change the title from Storage Area Network (as it looks to talk only 10 % of the topic ) to Information Storage & Management or Storage Networking & Backup or Information Storage & Protection. ||
    Over the last few years, the ## of students taking the course has come down significantly. On my inquiry, i again found the same crazy reasons like - 
    "Other subject textbooks were thinner than yours"
    "Will you guarantee me a job, if i opt for an elective" 
    "There is nothing to learn in storage" 
    While thinking of a way to make students/faculty understand the value of offering/learning an Industry-recognized course ( sold commercially on Amazon as well ), i came up with the Top 10 reasons to why you should opt for our ISM v2.







    Please feel free to pass the message to all and work together on creating a pool of employable professionals.
    Remember : i don't advocate teaching on products, as i believe vendor lock-in's will only serve the organizations marketing teams.
